Hi has anyone had one of these and is it painful?

D0do Mine were at a private London hospital and a private women's health clinic in Harley St. Not a stirrup in sight. I did have something to drape my legs over for a hysteroscopy - don't think they were stirrups though.

My experience was exactly the same as the QueenoftheNights. Wedge under the bum and not a stirrup in sight.

Have had more of these than I care to mention due to fertility issues. It should not be painful.

No stirrups were ever used in any of these examinations.

I've had few and I didn't think they were painful. I didn't have to put my legs in stirrups either. Feet together, pushed against your bum, legs apart. All done very quickly. Nothing to worry about.
