Hey guys,
I hope someone can help me, I've been to visit my GP and I've had bloods taken so hopefully they'll reveal results this week, but I was wondering if anyone could help with my symptoms, suggestions of what they could point to would be great.

Signs and symptoms:
(been present since the end of June)
-Bloating more than usual
-stomach cramps
-feeling of fullness
-belching
-nausea(but no following)
-headaches(not severe but I feel like my head is slowly being compressed)
-cough/blocked nose
-Abdominal tenderness around bellybutton
-Abdominal tenderness in the area above my bellybutton
-back pain(although I think its from sports)
GP prescribed me medication for stomach cramps and medication for excess acid in the stomach.

Any advice would be welcome x

Have you taken a pregnancy test lovely?
Are you intolerant to any food?

SeaToSki · 08/08/2018 13:43

You might have a sinus infection, but also what PP said

I've had regular monthly bleeding and I've taken 4 pregnancy tests all negative, I did think it was pregnancy so I posted about it in the pregnancy talk topic, but advice on their said I could come to here as they didn't seem to think it was pregnancy because if the periods and negative tests. I do however always have the idea in the back of my mind as I've read about people who have said they had period like bleeding and actually they were pregnant. It would be useful if anyone could comment are their any differences between pregnancy bleeding and period bleeding (I dint mean spotting !!!! just regular bleeding in pregnancy) is it anything like a period, e.g does pregnancy bleeding just come at anytime, rather than on a cycle like a period does?? Is there any physical difference in the way the blood looks colour/consistency?? How’s long does pregnancy bleeding last e.g 5-7 days like a period or does it vary??

Honestly- you're not pregnant. You've done several tests and your symptoms are not pregnancy symptoms.

Penisbeakerismyfavethread · 09/08/2018 10:33

Yeah given the periods and beg tests I would say youre not.

Sinus infection is a good shout. They’re awful.

Get well soon

Have the doctors spoken with you about testing for Crohn’s disease? A friend of mine gets bloating, cramps, abdo pains, nausea (largely from the pain) etc. It kicks up her whole system when it flares up.

Or gluten/wheat allergies?

crl200 · 09/08/2018 10:55

GP’s testing for gluten and wheat also liver and kidney x

I hope someone sees this and can help,
I'm a 17 y/o girl, I'm very active but over 3 months my scales at home have measured me loosing 7 kg, I haven't noticed an extreme difference because of the bloating I have. Personally I gather most fat on my thighs and I think they look slimmer than they used to but I don't know if this is just my mind playing games. Would I know if I had lost that much, considering I haven't increased the exercise amount or changed my diet. I first was measured 73 kg at the doctors at the end of May, in mid July my measurement had dropped down to 67.5kg on home scales and today it shows 66 kg aswell on the home scales. Obviously clothes are a factor but I would think only a couple of pounds, not kg's?

I asked my dad if the weighing scales at home were accurate he said he is not sure because they're quite old so I originally ignored their reading from the difference to GP measurement- but now they have shown weight loss since!

I saw the GP regarding stomach pains and a full blood test cam back fine, do you think I should worry about it, or ignore it and be happy i'm loosing weight.

You need to go back to your GP. Those symptoms can indicate some serious stuff, so don’t be fobbed off unless you get some answers.
