Maybe a stupid question but my last 2 periods have been super super light, i literally only know i have my period because theres a little brown blood on the tampon if i was to wear a pad it would be a tiny dribble, is this normal? My period used to be absolutely fine before this

Yes I have this aswell. Sometimes it's more, sometimes there is nothing just a feeling and sore boobs. I think it's my contraception. It's actually quite annoying. I used to have heavy periods when I was younger and not us8ng contraception.

saz24 · 03/08/2018 23:40

Thank god i'm not the only one! Im not on any contraception so cant even blame that! Probably stress

Only when pregnant. POAS seconded

oldbirdy · 03/08/2018 23:44

I have always had very light periods. Don't use tampons as they never get soaked. Could leave a pad all day and it won't be "full". I had 4 kids no problems so fertility unaffected. I always assumed I was just lucky.

saz24 · 03/08/2018 23:53

I took a test a few days before my period was due and obviously came up negative do you think i should try again?

I'm a bit Hmm at the notion of "suffering" with light periods OP.

saz24 · 03/08/2018 23:55

It is horrible though. I can't use pads, I find them so uncomfortable so use tampons bit because there's not much there it can be really uncomfortable. I much preferred having a heavier period Hmm maybe I'm just a bit weird 😂

saz24 · 04/08/2018 00:03

@Timeisslippingaway no your not weird i'm the exact same i like a normal period every month so i know everything is working😂 it's when it get a light or irregular i panic😂

I also though mine lightened slightly after after having kids but I could be wrong I've never mentioned it to the doctor or anything so that might not even be possible.

Sunnybeachbabe · 04/08/2018 00:16

Well I have light periods yes, I've always been quite pleased about it though. Is it a problem? I got pregnant easily enough.

Berniethecrabisthebest · 04/08/2018 00:19

Would say I have light periods would say they are normal but tend to stop at night which is bit strange but I’m happy about

Berniethecrabisthebest · 04/08/2018 00:19

depending on your age you could be heading towards menopause..are you 40+?

kenandbarbie · 04/08/2018 07:20

Hmmmm sounds like you need to poas to me!

polkadotpixie · 04/08/2018 07:25

I did (currently pregnant) and it really worried me as they weren't light in my teens and twenties so I thought I was going to have an early menopause at 33 or something but obviously not!

My sister has very light periods too, so not sure if it's just a family thing for us. It doesn't seem to have caused any fertility issues as she got pregnant the first month she tried (although it took me a year)

saz24 · 04/08/2018 09:36

@QueenoftheNights no i'm only 27
