I’m probably being stupid, but tomorrow I’d have been on my period for 8 days. It’s usually 6 days, since having my second dc.

Today I though it was stopping, went pink, brown and then nothing. Went to the toilet before bed and it’s back to red with a few teeny clots in it, also have a bit of cramping.

This has been my first period for 4 months due to unknown reasons ( blood tests have been normal but apparently have to have them re done).

I was wondering as to whether this is why my period is lasting longer than normal? Or if I’m still on come Monday whether I should make an appointment with the GP. Really don’t want to waste their time.

I think you should see your GP on Monday. You are not wasting their time. I think there is a pill they can give you to stop your period if it’s going on too long (I’ve had this happen to me but it was related to the contraceptive pill I was taking at the time) but also your GP needs to put this new information into context with your 4 month absence of period in order to help work out what’s going on.

Really really not wasting time - go!

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll make an appointment first thing. Wasn't sure if there was a certain amount of time you'd have to wait. Hopefully I'll be able to take something, it's driving me nuts Sad
