Hello everyone... First post ever, but I don't have many women in my life to ask this sort of thing... Any advice would be very helpful to me.

I've basically noticed that I've been bleeding dark blood (sorry for the too much info) and it's like a bloody discharge consistency, rather than spotting. It's never happened before and I've recently had a colposcopy (April) due to having HPV for over 3 years. No irregular cells (thankfully). Has the nurse missed something, or I've developed something since then.... No idea but I'm basically alone and can't ask anyone I know... Anyone had this? Thanks so much to anyone that replies. Sophie

Definately go back to your gp. I had this a few years ago and was worried. It was a uterine polyp and easily treated.

Same here. Go to your GP, it's probably something easy to sort out but you must get advice.

I remember having a heavy discharge after colsposcopy - grim isn't it! Do check in with nurse/GP, it's almost certainly a minor after-effect but better safe than sorry. Best wishes xx
