Thrush but no discharge?

twinkle999 · 27/06/2018 18:08

I am itchy but no discharge. It seems more like a skin complaint affecting the crease between my thigh and my vulva. I am itchy and then scratch making it sore.

GP thinks it is thrush? Which doesn’t seem right to me.

Any ideas?

Have you had a look down there using a mirror? Can you notice any redness/swelling/spots/white?

twinkle999 · 27/06/2018 18:17

No spots. No whiteness.
I have tiny cuts at the moment from itching so much. Shock

Are you drying yourself properly and wearing cotton Knicks, you can have fungal skin infections, very common in the heat, I get it under me boobies so just use canestan cream for a few days.

How about odour?

ReginaPhalange20 · 27/06/2018 18:32

I also agree with the PP that it's possibly irritated because of the heat

twinkle999 · 27/06/2018 18:35

No bad odour.
I sometimes smell a whiff of sweetness / popcorn if that doesn’t sound too strange

If it's a strong sweet smell, I'm leaning towards a yeast overgrowth.
What has your doctor advised?

twinkle999 · 27/06/2018 19:02

They’ve given me a tablet to take for thrush. Which I’ve taken but yet to see if it works.

I think that was a good call from the doctor and certainly won't hurt even if you don't have an overgrowth.
Hope it helps you and you feel good as new soon

I'd put sudacrem on it as well. If it is being caused by the heat it will help.
