Hi All
I'm after advice and others experience of this please. I am 48 had previous mirena coils and all been fine. Had latest one june 2017 never been great and over last 6 months having light bleeds on and off every few weeks for a few days or so. Saw nurse early this year she was fairly dismissive poss perimenopause. So I left it then began to get worse period a week ! back to docs - ref for scan and put me on progesterone only pill . Had scan after some faffing found coil app all ok and a small fibroid but nothing to worry about they said. Back to docs decided to have coil out carry on with pill. So coil out 31st May - massacre period followed ! horrific ! clots /leaks the lot . It stopped after a week phew . BUT ! then started again last Friday not sure if a period or what but again horrific - went to Gps last night she has told me to take Norethisterone for 10 days , review then for 10 days after or until next period if no better she will refer me to gynae. So I have now had 3 norethisterone but no improvement - am I being impatient ? advice /experience welcome ! thanks

OMG we are twins!! I'm having exactly the same problem. I have had mirena removed and bleeding ++++++ so on progesterone 10mg three times a day which is a lot but it stopped it. I had scan last week and having a hysteroscopy this week coming to biopsy fibroid!!!

I don't have any answers except the progesterone will stop the bleeding if you take enough. Make a fuss!
