Hello. I hoping someone will be able to help.

My mum was diagnosed with reast cancer 4 and a half years ago. She had an immediate mastectomy and chemo followed by radiotherapy. She has since had her reconstriction cancelled 3 times, the most recent being today....while at the hospital having her pre op....basically 10 hours before the actual operation . She is so depressed I can't cope with seeing her like this. Almost 5 years on and she still hasn't had her reconstriction. Apparently today was sue to staff sickness but there we're 3 others on the waiting room who were getting the same op and had been waiting less time ( all within 2 years of mastectomy) which I can only assume is because they had all travelled quite far and my mum is only an hour away . I know it may seen shallow or vain but she needs this closure. The end of that horrid me chapter rather than seeing the scars every day. The hospital have told her the op will be within 28 days as it was cancelled on such short notice but this has happened twice before. Does anyone know where we can go for some action to be taken. We have been to PALS after the second cancellation ( also paperwork was lost pushing her to the back of the queue) and all that's has happened is another cancellation. Surely there must be something. Is there a time limit they must follow on reconstruction after surgery or could she still be waiting on about 5 years?? Im sorry of there arw any typos but im so angry she has been put through this again
