Bleeding for weeks at a time

I've been debating posting this. I'm just so fed up now and just want to know what the hell is wrong with me.

I had an emcs with my son nearly 2 years ago now. We had no problems conceiving I miscarried our first, and pretty much caught straight away with our son after that.

After the csection I bleed heavily for about a month then had a really heavy period after it. I then started taking the same contraceptive pill that I had taken before we were TTC.

I came off that nearly a year ago now to try for baby number 2. I had a breakthrough bleed which lasted 3 weeks then had nothing for 3 months past from cramps. Then I just started bleeding again and it wouldn't stop this has been going on for nearly a year now. I'm having sometimes a month of heavy bleeding at a time with huge clots. With maybe a couple of days break or a week before it starts up again. The last 2 months haven't been so bad until what I thought was a normal period just hasn't stopped and I've been bleeding for nearly 2 weeks again.

3 months ago I was referred to the gynaecologist. Still waiting, prior I've had swabs internal and external scans which were all apparently clear. Even though I'm having pain in my scar and my ovaries followed by pressure.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this after a c section or even a natural birth ? I'm pretty sure the c section is the main cause. I'm planning on going back to the doctors and pushing the referral because I just can't cope anymore. It's making me miserable. They didn't give me no indication what could be wrong.
