Can anyone offer me any advice? I had the coil fitted just before xmas, it slowed down my periods allot, i just have been getting spotting one day a month, all seems to have been going well. I didnt have any spotting the month before last, then i got a day or two a couple of weeks apart, then i bled for a week straight, dark at first, then bright red then back to dark. Ive not been feeling well, really really emotional, feeling queezy in the mornings (only been sick twice) and really bad tummy ache down my right side. Because of the changes i decided id do a pregnancy test. Ive had an ectopic previously and had one tube removed, with that and having the coil fitted i didnt think it was anything to worry about. The test came back faint positive, so i waited until the following morning to do the other in the packet, that came back negative :/ feeling confused i went back out that day and got another pack, again, faint positive, next test the next morning was negative, another pack, faint positive, then negative :/ so i went to my doctors, she did a urine test and it was negative. She said she was worried about ectopic so she put me in for a blood test for hcg, that came back negative. I got another pack of tests and have only done one, that came back faint positive again :/ the pains in my tummy have gotten worse but the bleeding is non existent now. My bowel movements have been all over the place, i feel queezy off and on, ive been overly sweaty, dizzy and really really emotional for a few weeks .... ive been for another blood test for hcg today so im awaiting the results. I spoke to a doctor in the practice and he was really angry that id asked for another hcg test, he said it was the only reliable test and i was probably getting IBS Pains from the worry? (Chicken and egg, i did the tests because of pain) he advised me to write to the manufacturer bcause he had no clue why the home tests would be coming up positive (because i asked him if there would be any other reason)
Has anyone had any experience with negative blood hcg tests and went on to be pregnant?
