Lump on labia

It's on my outer labia, about the size of a pea, looks a bit like a large flesh-coloured mole but it's rounder than that. Noticed it a few months ago (during deforestation Grin - may have been there longer) and it's not changed since then. Doesn't hurt, isn't red, isn't particularly hard but definitely fleshy not just skin. Ill-advised attempts to get pus from it a while ago just caused blood.

Wtf is it? Even if it's fine I want it gone cos of how it looks!

It could be a sebaceous cyst or quite possibly a wart..?

ThatOtherWorld · 19/06/2018 14:01

It doesn't really look like either... maybe a cyst.

I'm guessing the doctor won't remove it... Sad

I had one of these while I was pregnant. It was like a pea just stuck there then one day it was just gone... it is worrying you, you could just get your GP (or a nurse) to have a look? Put your mind at rest ☺️

I've come back to this post because it's still there - even bigger. It's not totally round anymore, bit more elongated.

Saw a nurse at the GUM clinic in August, she thought it was a skin tag. Results clear on STI tests. It doesn't look like a skin tag to me though, not skinny or wrinkled enough or a different colour or anything. Just a long lump that seems to just be part of the flesh.

I'm going to ask the practice nurse when I see her but what I really, really want is this thing gone! I hate it, it's starting to catch on underwear. How do I convince them to remove it?

Tell them it is catching on your underwear. My friend had one removed because it was catching on her bra.

I had something like that, I poked it with a sterilized needle after a bath Blush and squeezed it! Very satisfying (albeit painful), lots of pus came out.

I had a lump like that - I think was a cyst or something. Anyway, I had it removed in day surgery with a local anaesthetic & it never came back, so I would go to your GP.

Could it be a Bartholin cyst?
