Late period not pregnant

Had my little boy 7 months ago, periods came back at around 6 weeks I started the pill but it made me bleed everyday and they took me off of it till my periods balanced out didn't get another period then until February 15th I have had a period every month between the 15th-17th. This month I haven't had one done 2 pregnancy tests one this morning and one yesterday morning both definite negatives. I'm bottle feeding and not stressed so can't be either of them any other reasons I haven't had one this month? I'm not going to go to drs till it's at least a week late. No symptoms of one starting.. any advice? I'm currently not on contraception but 100% use a condom every time.

Last shot at getting a reply.. but it's now been 38 days since a period. Done another test this morning negative again! How long would you leave before going to drs about this?

I'm not experienced on post preg periods but my periods are anywhere between 26 and 38 days at the mo and I am trying to conceive. I wouldn't worry personally.... sorry if this isn't much help!

tmh88 · 22/06/2018 07:11

Thank you @squirrelnutkins1
Another day and not arrived did another test this morning still negative! Will probably try get an appointment next week if still nothing, as I really thought they had settled in to a pattern! How exciting ttc! Best wishes with it all Thanks

My DD is 16 months and I randomly didn't have a period last month. My body gave me no explanation just skipped a period!

I'm wasn't pregnant, not starting the menopause, no eating disorders, no major stresses or illnesses... no idea!!

tmh88 · 22/06/2018 07:54

@GrumpyBagFace how bizarre! Feeling less worried this morning now thank you! Will probably get one just in time for my holiday next month then haha.

Saying that.. I didn't get a positive pregnancy test until I was over a week late with my DD and then it was only a faint line.

If you are pregnant, small age gaps are ace! If you're not, hopefully you'll get a period soon.

Twistedinknots · 22/06/2018 18:20

Twice in the last two years i've skipped a period and had nausea until they restarted the next month.
All tests were negative and the Drs have no concerns.
Weird isn't it?!

tmh88 · 22/06/2018 18:59

@GrumpyBagFace will definitely retest next week if not here also! But hoping it is a negative as awful as it sounds I'm that traumatised by how badly my first birth went I don't think I could do it again! With my first I tested day before my period was due and it showed positive! So fingers crossed I'm not 🤞🏻 @Twistedinknots hopefully I'm like you! How long did you leave it before going to the drs if you don't mind me asking?

I think ten days. They did a pregnancy blood test and checked that my hormone levels were normal (neg test and normal levels)

Twistedinknots · 22/06/2018 19:38

Also scan checked for ovarian cysts after but that was about a 6wks later and also negative.

tmh88 · 22/06/2018 19:57

Thanks for that! @Twistedinknots will keep you all posted!

8 days late now still a negative test! Going to try get in a drs just moved to this area so hoping they registered me straight away when I dropped the forms in last week! If not can you attend a walk in centre for something like this?

OP posts:
GrumpyBagFace · 23/06/2018 21:37

I think you can go straight away... they've accepted you, it's just admin.

tmh88 · 25/06/2018 08:40

Thankyou @GrumpyBagFace still negative tests and still late so going to try ring drs on my dinner today and get booked in for this week!

@Twistedinknots got a drs appointment for tomorrow, did they do bloods at the appointment or did you have to go back for that?

OP posts:
Twistedinknots · 25/06/2018 23:02

At the appointment. Good luck!

Findingdotty · 25/06/2018 23:07

Good luck with the drs tomorrow OP. However I wouldn’t worry too much. Every 8 months or so my period decides to come 3 weeks or so late for no reason then back to the normal routine. Weird but learnt to roll with it now and don’t worry too much. Do find it frustrating though.

tmh88 · 26/06/2018 07:21

Thank you everyone! Woke up this morning and guess what?! Period.. absolutely typical! Angry at least the pregnancy tests I got was £1.. apart from the clearblue one which I actually just wanted to say not pregnant, as I was imagining lines..😂

OP posts:
Twistedinknots · 26/06/2018 09:29

Yes typical!
Just like when it times itself perfectly early for a big day out or the first day of your holiday!

tmh88 · 26/06/2018 10:20

Yes @Twistedinknots well if this is my new cycle date it is perfectly timed for my holiday next month! Can't men just be fertile for a week of the month instead?!😂
