wildlife - unusual behaviour recently

Has anyone noticed any strange behaviour with wild animals recently? Yesterday I was in a park and there was a mole running around above ground. Today I was in a cemetery and there was a small hedgehog on the path, immobile but still alive.

With the lack of rain this summer animals like moles and hedgehogs are going to get hungry and thirsty. Many will die. They will be desperate and will start behaving in ways we have never seen before. I saw the mole next to a lake so maybe it had emerged to take a drink and was trying to get back to safety.

The ground will be very hard for the mole. The hedgehog I suspect was ill. There's a rescue centre for hedge near us and they've asked people to look out for hedgehogs behaving like this in the day time

We should all try to put water out for the hedgehogs and birds. And the bees too. My hogs are thirsty even when we have rain.

Hedgehogs out during the day are usually ill. Often they are infested with ticks.
