Has anyone else joined the BTO Garden BirdWatch scheme?

An ecologist friend persuaded me to spend £17 to join this initiative.
I love the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch and so she said why not give this a go.
I basically record all birds I see each week in the garden and submit my findings every Sunday.
Butterflies, bees, mammals, amphibians and much more can also be logged.
It has been the best thing I ever did! It makes me sit down, put down my phone and spend 20 mins a day just watching.
Since starting I have also seen a hedgehog and fox, that I didn't know we even had.
Its been such a joy, and I would recommend it to anyone.
I also got a lovely BTO book of Garden Birds worth nearly the annual subscription!

That’s an absolute bargain for a good cause.
I will sign up over the weekend.

I love seeing birds in my garden.
