By John Lanchester. Has anyone else read this? And enjoyed it?

It's stuck with me for some reason - the devious nature of the characters, how I found both women equally unlikeable but still a really compelling read.

I'm gripped by how manipulative they are, and how I couldn't stop reading (or now, thinking about) it. Is there an element of "I would never be able to behave like that", that makes this story so compelling?

I assumed you were talking about Jess Hill’s book of the same name about domestic violence. It won the Stella Prize, brilliant book. I hate when there are multiple books with the same title, so confusing.

I thought the same too when I saw the title 🙂 if you liked the book they made a television show about it too

I liked this book a lot, love a revenge plot. Although I saw the twist coming a mile away.
