Should I read Heart the Lover or Writers and Lovers first?

Which is the best reading order, have ordered both.

I’d go in the order of writing — Writers and Lovers first, then Heart the Lover, to which it is both sequel and prequel. (Writers and Lovers is by far the better novel, though Heart the Lover is also good. Lily King is brilliant. Her earlier novel Euphoria is also wonderful.)
