Does anyone remember this author. Libraries used to keep a lot of her books in the 80s, at least ours did, because my mum was a fan. I picked one up ( 'My Friend Muriel') at the charity book table in Tesco yesterday as I had nothing to read and hadn't thought about the 'My Friends' series in years. Dated - obviously, she was writing in the 50s - but really amusing. She had a really interesting life and was suspected to have been a Bletchley codebreaker, but she would never have disclosed it obviously (she died in the 70s).
