Audiobooks - if I like Ann Cleeves and the Dark Iceland series…

Hello - I’m looking for some new audiobooks and hoping for some recommendations. I love the Vera and Shetland audiobooks by Ann Cleeves, love her writing and also the narrators feel really ‘right’. Also enjoyed the Dark Iceland books by Ragnar Jónasson for same reason. Don’t like anything too gratuitously violent or gory - hate detailed descriptions of killers doing vile things to their victims. I’ve tried asking AI but not overly keen on what’s been suggested. So hoping MN might be able to help! Thanks.

Yrsa Sigurdardottir. Excellent Icelandic author that I often recommend on threads such as these.

Not exactly the same genre but i loved all of Stella Rimington's books - i too absolutely love Ann Cleeves so i imagine we have similar tastes perhaps.

Thanks! Have read all of the Strike books. Also have listened to some of Yrsa books, cheers for the reminder to look for some others! Will check out Stella Rimington too. A good narrator is a must though!

I was recommended the Arnaldur Indridason series by a tour guide in Iceland and enjoyed them. Read them in sequence though, as they make more sense that way.
