When my family lived in France for a while in my childhood, I had a fine d'Artagnan costume, despite being a little girl. Complete with feathered hat, crimson cloak and silver plastic sword, but no musket.

Fancy your DPs not allowing a Musket! The costume does sound adorable though and I hope you enjoyed wearing it
