Adult book series with a similar feel to Point Horror

I absolutely loved point horror books as a teenager and want to feel some of that nostalgic feeling that I get from those books - are there any adult series that give a similar vibe?!

Grady Hendrix's books might fit the bill?

I loved Point Horror as a teenager! I then moved on to Richard Laymon and Dean Koontz (The Funhouse, Watchers). You can probably still get copies second hand!
