Has anyone read Show Me Where It Hurts ?
I thought it was very good.
However I found it a difficult read, painful almost, and so so sad.

Yes, but it’s pretty much baked into the topic, no? It’s a good novel, but quite horrible.

True but I was surprised by my reaction to it. A visceral reaction.

It would be an unusual reader who wouldn’t have a strong response to a novel whose key point is a DH and father with MH problems deliberately driving the family car over a cliff and killing his two young children. I mean, I know I’ll never reread it!

Thank you. Not everyone gets it, obviously.
