Has anyone else read this recently?

I thought it was very well written and not what I was expecting at all.

My only criticism was that nothing at all seemed to go right for poor Frankie! I would love to have seen something work out for her. However, she just seemed to encounter scoundrel after scoundrel, with the exception of Nor.

Even when she moved to New York and it seemed that she had found two really decent friends in Joe and Betty, Joe ended up being a cheating scoundrel and Betty was suddenly referred to as becoming jealous and no longer being in much contact with them.

It came to the point that I started to think that Frankie was an exceptionally bad judge of character as she initially liked the Cannon, Van and particularly Joe and Betty!

I was half expecting Damian to rob her in the end!

The Nor twist at the end I found fairly predictable and was mainly disappointed that they hadn't explored that more throughout the book.

Still on the whole, very well written.
