Morning,

I'm officially unable to pause my audible membership but have 5 credits to get rid of so I can cancel- would love some recommendations please for Romantasy books that are particularly good on audible!

Currently own the following audible books that I've loved the reading style of:

Quicksilver/Brimstone
Graphic Audio of Fourth Wing/Irons Flame/Onyx Storm (5*)
Harry Potter x 7 read by Stephen Fry
Harry Potter full cast audio x 7 (I pre-ordered them all)
All the Richard Osman books

Romantasy books I've enjoyed reading in the past year:
Fourth Wing/Iron Flame/Onyx Storm
ACOTAR x 5
Blood/Bonds of Hercules
Riftbourn/Duskbound/The Ascended
Direbound
Zodiac Academy I'm in a love/hate and having a break from before I move to book 8

My TBR is stuff like:
Sunrise on the Reaping
Shield of Sparrows
Hollow
Reckless/Ruthless/Fearless etc
TOG
Crescent City
We Who Will Die
The Plated Prisoner

Are there any books that you've listened to and particularly enjoyed on audiobook that you would recommend based on the above please.

Recommendations would be most appreciated!

Sorry I should have mentioned I read these last year also! (I managed about 46 books last year it only noted my top choices- although the once upon a broken heart series was amazing- so whimsical)!

I enjoyed The Wolf King and the Night Prince by Lauren Palfreyman - the English male and female voices were great and the Scottish male character voice was brilliantly OTT... such gruff Viking vibes. I much prefer English voices to US ones if I can have a choice, although the Quicksilver/Brimstone voices were fab.

I’ve listened to most of the ones you mentioned. I would add:

Metal Slinger
The Wind Weaver
The Lady of Darkness series
The Legends of Thezmarr series
The Ashes of Thezmarr series

I’ve heard good things about The Legacy series but haven’t got round to that one yet.

I loved those two books too.

There’s a prequel series to Zodiac Academy that you would enjoy - I think the first one is called Dark Fae.

I also enjoyed Ali Hazlewood’s Bride (and the sequel, Mate).

Others that aren’t on your list that I listened to last year include Rose in Chains, The Crimson Moth, Silver Elite and the Everflame series. I also liked the Twilight series on audiobook, but I’d never seen the films or read the books before so it was all new and exciting to me.

Rose in Chains is probably a good one for you if you like Harry Potter because it started off its life as Dramione fan fiction. Obviously they had to change the names for regular publishing so the Hermione character is called Bryony 🤣

Enjoy your audible credits - I’ve run out for the time being so I’m dipping between my audiobook hours on Spotify and BorrowBox (not such a good Romantasy selection).

The Rook & Rose series is good fun.
