Arsène Lupin books: any good?

Anyone read them? They get compared to the Sherlock Holmes stories. Are they as good? Is the language interesting?

I read them in French a few years ago.
From what I remember, the stories became repetitive and formulaic after a while. Maybe try one and see if you like it? It has been a while since I read them.

Sherlock Holmes is much more interesting in comparison, I think. I loved reading those.

There is a character in the Lupin books called Herlock Sholmès He's a nod to the great detective, but I think he was written deliberately to be a bit of a twit.

I like watching 'Lupin' on Netflix :)

I like Lupin in French on Netflix. The dubbed version seems a bit butchered.

I haven’t read any of the books though.
