He said he wanted a graphic novel in French at beginners level but I can't see any on Amazon. Can anyone recommend any other ideas for a book for a learner ?

Thanks in advance

You can get anime cartoon books in other languages like Naruto etc. Can be a fun way in.

Asterix! Funny for any age

Coming on to say Asterix too! Definitely the best!
or a French edition of any book he’s already familiar with in English - a childhood favourite he knows well can work well in a second language eg I enjoyed reading my copy of “Bilbo le hobbit”.

Tintin or Asterix

Yes, god how I loved Asterix as a kid. Actually, Tintin would be even better. The dialogue is just the right level for a beginner.

My adult DS was a big Harry Potter fan in his youth and knew all the books very well. So he got the French versions to help with learning French.
