Sharon Bolton Dead Scared, was actually scary.
Claire McKintosh good twists in her books.

Steve Cavanagh - Eddie Flynn series. The characters are immensely likable and I’ve just binge read 8 of them!
I do love Harlan Coban but after years of reading his stuff I needed a new writer and the Eddie Flynn series really hits the spot. Great twists as well!
