American dirt is one of those ones that stays with you. I read it a few years ago and it still comes back to me. It was absolutely shocking, the saddest thing is it's not from a crazed dystopian concept but on real experiences. There was so much to discuss, different angles and opinion. I'd definitely recommend. I read it alone and texted a few people because I was dying to have a chat about it!
