Can anyone explain the ending - The Swimming Pool by Louise Candlish?

SPOILER ALERT

In the epilogue Molly's diary claimed that Ed had indeed been taking advantage of Georgia. Is this a tease, or left open, or are we supposed to believe it? Seems unlikely, since it supposedly took place during a week in which, while Molly was away, her mother was at home. Thanks.

Bump post for you!

I read it two years ago, I love some of Louise Candlish books but I hated this one! It was so dull and I didn’t get the excitement about a public outdoor swimming pool?

I know I gave it 1 star on good reads but i can’t remember any details unfortunately.

Also just remembered avoid the one about people who commute to work via a boat that was also rubbish!

Thanks for posting. Yes, I agree book was fairly dull. Also, a lot of inconsistencies, which always annoy me in a book. However, I enjoyed The Other Passenger, unlike you - that's the one on the boat, - and also enjoyed Our House. What other ones do you recommend?

I read it when it came out but I can't remember the detail of the ending. I enjoyed The Other Passenger and Our House. Those People is also really good. The Only Suspect is good. I couldn't get into The Heights at all. I found The Holiday readable, but lacklustre compared to her earlier books.

A note that a few of Louise Candlish's early books were re-released but they are romances rather than thrillers, if you are looking for thrillers check the original publication date before buying.

She has a new book coming out tomorrow - A Neighbour's Guide to Murder - hoping it will be a return to form!

Thanks. I was very disappointed in The Holiday. I liked The Heights but not as much as Our House and The Other Passenger. I thought The Sudden Departure of the Frasers was OK. Will try Those People.

I loved - The heights, Our house amd my favourite is The Only Suspect.

Thank you! I will look for that. I haven’t tried any of her earlier stuff either
