I’ve got some major decluttering and clearing to do prior to home improvements over the next few weeks, so I need some good listens. My best-ever have been the Cormoran Strike books so anything in that kind of mode would be amazing. I also loved listening to the Simon Serrailer series by Susan Hill, some historical novels (Emma Donoghue was great) and I’ll have a go at non-fiction - I liked The Wager and And The Band Played On. Any recommendations please?

I’ve been listening to the Slow Horses series of books by Mick Herron, all available on YouTube. Very complex and absorbing, wonderfully read. (I’m a huge fan of the TV series too.)

Yes, I agree! I’ve not listened to them but I’ve read them all on kindle. Love the TV show too (possibly even more than the books - Gary Oldman is phenomenally good).

The List of suspicious things by Jennifer Godfrey. Read by Joanne Froggett (the Downton actress). Loved this and the way it was narrated. About the Yorkshire Ripper but seen through the eyes of a young girl and her friend. Growing up it seemed all the adults had secrets.

None of this is true. Lisa Jewell best audible book I’ve ever listened to brilliant narration

I’m just listening to The Half Life of Valery K by Natasha Pulley - it’s phenomenal

Juliet Stevenson's voice is just chef's kiss so good, love listening to her

She's done lots of audiobooks - I particularly loved her reading Hallie Rubenhold's "The Five" and she's just done the newest Hallie R book "Story of a Murder", saving this for holidays next week 😍

Project Hail Mary is just fantastic, even if sci fi isn't your thing.
