I love reading, but I only read in bed before sleeping, so am usually a bit tired. Medication and life mean I’m stressed and fatigued at the moment so an easy/gripping book is a must. Any recommendations?
I love lots of books - Seven Sisters was stand out for me, Jill mansell for easy escapism each year, autobiographies, Kristin Hannah the nightingale, Erin Hilderbrand all of, Taylor Jenkins Read all of….

Remarkably bright creatures.

Gillian Mcallister for good thrillers.
Anne Tyler - 3 Days in June, a gentle /funny study of characters, all revolving around a family wedding.

Have you tried the Ruth Galloway books by Elly Griffiths? Ostensibly thrillers, they are much more about the characters and relationships and also very easy to read with pretty straightforward plotting. They got me back I to reading when I was struggling after a bereavement.

Liane Moriarty books are gripping, though a bit far fetched 🙂

Hunting midnight by Richard zimler is an epic page turner. Made me weep but ultimately life affirming.

All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews, which is brilliant and life-affirming. Or Laurie Colwin’s A Big Storm Knocked It Over or Family Happiness — clever, funny novels about Manhattanites and their relationships.

I loved The Women by Kristen Hannah.
