Verity by Colleen Hoover reminded me of Point Horror!

I'm always behind the times, and so I've only just read Verity. It's the first Colleen Hoover book I've read and with the mix of mystery and romance it absolutely took me back to my teen days, where I'd read Point Horror. Id forgotten how much fun they were. My favourite was The Boyfriend by R L Stine. Any other suggestions for books with a similar vibe?

Oh I might read it then! Yet to be sucked in by the Hoover (pun intended). But I loved point horror.

My favourites were Fun House, Freeze Tag and The Window. I need to reread them all!

I've just bought Layla by 'the hoover' 😆@CountryQueen Apparently its in a similar vein to Verity. I'm really looking forward to the film they are making of Verity because its got my favourite in (Josh Hartnett!)

I looked at some Point Horror book covers online and I remembered loads of them. I also loved Sweet Valley when I was about that age too.

St Clare’s and Mallory Towers too. Sweet Valley High was brilliant. My kids have some point horror books I bought on eBay. I’m going to read one this weekend

Verity is her only real thriller, Layla is terrible. She usually writes romance.

Thanks for the heads up - I can manage my expectations now!
