Chapter 25 book club?

Anyone a member of this? They're all over my Facebook at the moment as they're apparently coming to my city. They seem to be a national organisation. You have to sign up to get any information about how it works which I don't want to do really. Just wondering how much it costs and whether it's any good.

Yep. I think there's 3 types of membership
Book and meetup, about £15.
Meetup only, I do this, it's a tenner a month.
Online only, no idea how much this is.

It gets me out of the house once a month, I love having a natter with lots of people who all love reading. There's some add ons, like author readings and social events. My group did a Christmas meal, and we're going to do a board games night soon I think.

The books have been a bit mixed, but that's the point of a book club right, to get you reading things you wouldn't ordinarily pick up? I do the meetup only option because I can normally get the book from the library or cheaper on kindle. But i know a lot of people like to own the book so they go for the book and meetup options.

Still enjoying it. Books have been great recently, some challenging reads and some that have been right up my street. Really lovely group of people too.
