Any Cassandra Clare fans?

I am almost finished with The Mortal Instruments and have been a little bit disappointed after starting with The Infernal Devices and The Last Hours - but am just about hooked enough on the whole concept to consider carrying on with the next series. If you've been here - is it worth it or should I move on? I have a massive list of books to read!

I loved the mortal instruments series when I read it years ago so tried to read the infernal devices series but couldn't get on with it so gave up.

Oh really! Maybe it's because I read them first then, but I also loved it was set in the past and in London as well. And the love triangle with Will & Jem 💕

I've never read any of her books, but she used to be a BNF (big name fan) in the Harry Potter fandom 20ish years ago and there was a highly dramatic scandal, possibly involving allegations of plagiarism and sock puppet accounts - I don't remember the details. I wasn't in the fandom but I was active on livejournal and remember watching it all unwind...

I remember the drama! I used to read fandom_wank who had a pretty comprehensive wiki about what happened iirc
