I've gorged on Keith A Pearson and adores them. Especially the Clement ones.
I like an easy read but no more "Christmas at the pumpkin cafe inherited by niece who has split up with / lost husband and meets local single male" (yet ) please.

Yes, there’s a big choice on Kindle Unlimited, and not just the ‘Kate inherited a seaside cafe and relocated there after leaving cheating ex, Tarquin’ books, including contemporary and classics.

Too vague. I do 90% of my reading on Kindle unlimited. But I like a lot of sci fi and urban fantasy etc. The algorithms aren't too bad so see what it recommends based on your previous reading. or go look at a proper bookstore, and the books you like the look of plug into Amazon then after a bit you can start choosing kindle unlimited based on your "browsing" history.

I think Amazon needs to get smarter with AI in that right now its gquite good at offering suggestions based on what you've read, but there's no interactivity eg "I really enjoyed Book X but I want something with less romance and more adventure" or whatever. But I'm sure it will come eventually.

On the kindle app under the Discover tab there should be a few different options based on what's popular, your past reading, new and noteworthy etc. I tend to follow authors I've liked and it should show you those as well. I try and stick to the free unlimited books due to cost and it is a struggle sometimes to find something. Just enjoyed one by Clare Swatman which was a mystery romance but easy going.

Forgot to say you could sign up for bookbub which sends you a daily email with new free and discounted books based on the profile you set up.

Thanks all. This helps. I have read a few of the cafe/ bad ex/ lonely bachelor next door so they keep coming up.
I just enjoyed table for 5 which while slightly cheesy , was heartwarming and what I needed while feeling crappy. I've been off sick so got through more reading but wasn't up for my more serious reads. I'll have a look at the discover tab too
I've got normal people in real book to finish and a couple of booker nominees but not up to concentrating this week. I'll have another look now. Thank you
I like a thriller and time travel and a bit of historic stuff but not so much wartime

Bookbub is excellent. I read several books as a result, of all genres.

As well as bookbub there's book runes bookrunes.com/#sec-1
Majority are available on UK Amazon

If you like time travel try James Crookes. Christmas themed so good for this time of year!
