I listen to a lot of audiobooks - recommend me a physical book to read

I’m trying to improve my concentration span. I love reading - but that’s via listening to audiobooks while I’m doing other jobs (housework, driving).

What really hooky, excellent physical books should I read?

In audiobook format, I am quite unfussy but my preference is literary fiction.

I lose interest quickly when reading physical books, so it would have to be short literary fiction that is very hooky.

Any recommendations?

Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan
Little Boy Lost, The Victorian Chaise-longue both by Marghanita Laski

All three short and accessible.

Horror / ghost stories? Dark Matter and Thin Air both by Michelle Paver

Andrew Hurleys books

I have listened to Brooklyn and the follow up Long Island, both by Colm Toibin, beautiful books.
