Can anyone help with the name of a book translated from the French - I think recently. Pink cover and set partly in Brittany?

Sorry don't have any more info!

Any suggestions welcome.

That's not much to go on. Waterstones staff may be able to narrow it down for you.

This takes me back to my days of working in a bookshop!

You might not remember anything about the book but where did you hear about it (a magazine review, saw it in a shop, friend was reading it) what sort of book (crime, romance) male or female author,

All these snippets of information help

Someone was reading it on holiday. I have no further information but thank you both.

Maybe try a French language bookshop or the languages department at Foyles?

Foyles' website has a section for translated fiction but I don't know if you can search on a specific language:

Librarie La Page have a section for translated fiction but I think that's translated into French. You could try looking through their French fiction section to see if you recognise the book cover but the English version might be different to the original French version.

Jean-Luc Bannalec has written a series of detective books set in Brittany, one of which has a pink stripey cover:

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'll keep looking.

@Plexie no it wasn't the ones you linked to but I like the look of them anyway! Thank you

I found the book and it’s good! It’s called Fresh Water for Flowers by Valerie Perrin. Translated from the French

Have you started it yet @wincarwoo? Wonder if it’s worth the wait? Smile

Yes I’ve started it and yes it’s good! Would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic book. My copy is blue though with flowers on the front.
