London sister is an alcoholic in denial, married with a daughter. Has a good job with boss who is trying to encourage her to get help but a co worker is egging her on to drink with him and makes sexual advances.
Dublin sister has to keep coming over to help her sister whose marriage eventually falls apart. After resisting for some time London sister finally accepts she needs to attend AA meetings after endangering her daughter.
Can’t remember bits about dublin sisters life but the book is equally set in dublin too.
Would have been written about 15-20 years ago.
