Struggling to choose holiday reads

I like to take books away that are a bit lighter than I’d normally choose. Last year read The Whalebone Theatre and Great Circle and they fitted the bill exactly: not demanding but well-written and absorbing. Any similar recommendations? Nothing that tackles big emotive issues or that will leave me sobbing on a sun bed. Nothing too fluffy. Would really appreciate any help with filling my suitcase. Thanks.

I find Jodi Picoult books have depth and deal with controversial issues but are quite easy to read on holiday. Favourites for me were Small Great Things and A Spark of Light, have a nice holiday 🙂

I'm enjoying Cleopatra and Frankenstein on holiday right now.

I've just devoured Strange Sally Diamond in 2 afternoons from my sun lounger, it was exceptional and I absolutely adored it, but it definitely doesn't fit into the light easy reading category.

The Authenticity Project is up next, that might fit the bill.
