Recommend me a page turner

I haven't read a book in about a decade because I work full time in a job that involves reading non-fiction all day and have young DC who do not allow for any downtime. But I'm holiday for 3 weeks, they are starting to need me less and I might even be able to get away with not having to play with them constantly on the plane journey (long haul).

I enjoy murder mysteries. But I also love a love story. Strike books have been perfect on audiobook but need other suggestions.

Can anyone recommend me something that's a reasonably easy read?

Anthony Horowitz Hawthorne series. Starts with the Word is Murder.

The Vera series by Ann Cleeves.

Anything by Elly Griffiths- she has a number of different crime series.

The Wilkins series by Simon Mason.

Anything by Ian Rankin.

These are my go to easy reads in the crime genre- I also love Strike.

If you're after the fast paced type of page turner, anything by Freida McFadden, Claire Douglas or Lisa Jewell.
