I enjoyed reading Claire McIntosh 'I let you go', confessions of a 40 something fuck up. I currently have Midnight Library but struggling to get into it. Need a light easy, maybe funny read.

I really like Penny Vincenzi for holiday reading. Blockbuster type stuff. Not funny though!

I’m almost 40, currently on holiday, and have enjoyed reading:

  • Green Dot by Madeline Gray
  • Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe.
Both lighthearted and funny.

Last holiday, I enjoyed reading John Niven’s The Sunshine Cruise Company. That was brilliant!

If you’ve got a Kindle, get Kindle Unlimited and read Lucy Score’s Riley Thorn books, very funny and light - I’ve got the fourth one all ready for my hols next week.

Heartbreak Hotel by Deborah Moggach is an easy and enjoyable read as is The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden.

I started Midnight Library but stopped after the first few chapters, it was simply too depressing.

I’d go for anything by Jane Fallon, especially Just Got Real.

I love Marian Keyes' books... especially those about The Walsh family.

Watermelon is the first in The Walsh series. I've read them all and listened to them on Audible!

It Ends With Us and the sequel, It Starts With Us by Colleen Hoover.

Anything by Jodi Picoult

Marian Keyes, Jane Fallon & Adele Parks also all excellent.

Another vote for Jane Fallon here, always a funny and easy read

The husbands by Holly Gramazio. It's about a single woman who comes from a party and is suddenly married but she can swap her husband and her life every time they go in the attic. Light hearted and good fun.

I recently read Kindered by Octavia Butler, not a light read but very captivating!

I’ve just f8nished HomeComing by Kate Morton. It’s not a funny read but it’s an easy read though well, written and a real page turner.
