What book is this?

A girl from a well to do family gets kidnapped and her patents sell everything to pay the ransom. When she is returned to them resentment starts to set in from her siblings because they are now poor .

I thought it was a Penelople Lively but I've checked and it wasn't. At least 25 years old.
