The ending?
I enjoyed this although it's quite a stress inducing book but guess that's the point but I've found myself googling reviews to try & make some sort of sense of the ending!

Anyone else looking for closure?

Hello! I've read it and really enjoyed it - but I think it's just one of those go with the flow books where it's all about the vibe rather than a plot as such.

I thought it was pretty good but the ending was so weak - a total cop out. All the threads she had spent so long building up (Jack, the drug dealer) just petered out with no real consequences so in the end there was no story or stakes and the book was just a series of vignettes strung together.

Very unsatisfying.

I find Emma Cline quite exasperating because she is such a good prose writer but she really struggles with story.

I thought it was awful! Really boring and dragged out.

Can someone explain the ending? Was it just that nothing happened?

Happy I don't think there is one!

I googled, some people though she had died in the crash with the deer, some people thought that Dom was behind her with a gun et etc

I guess you just have to pick one you're happy with!
