What am I doing wrong with kindle

I'm looking for new books for my kindle . I cant seem to down load straight from kindle but usually do on Amazon but most of them are now saying sample ; I don't want samples and don't want to spend loads on books

Am I doing it right ?

Look on ‘Store’ on your kindle which is the shopping trolley symbol. There’s book deals, cheap books, kindle unlimited books, choose books by genre etc.

Also register with Bookbub and they’ll send you daily emails with suggestions according to your taste, usually at 99p . They gave a good range include popular books and authors.

As above , but also look at ‘manage my content and devices’. Its under ‘ Account & Lists’ , My Account.

You will see everything you have downloaded plus what’s in the cloud . If you filter by samples you can either delete them, or decide which ones you want to turn into full books.

My Kindle doesn’t do so well with me purchasing directly while on it - but it’s quite old and slow. I manage my account via my iPad.

There is a separate button to click to get a sample rather than buy the book. I often download a sample first . If at the end of reading it I am anxious to find out what happens next, then I buy the book.

Is it an actual Kindle or are you using the app on another device? You can no longer buy directly from the app, you have to go to Amazon to purchase.

I normally just buy the kindle copy on Amazon and then click refresh on my kindle and it's there . Sometimes takes longer to appear on my actual kindle than the kindle app on my phone .

Are you actually buying the books or looking for free downloads ?

I can only buy from amazon on the safari browser - no idea why.
