Looking for a new read. My recent reads that I’ve enjoyed have been-

The Tattoo Murder, Akimitsu Takagi
The Honjin Murders, Seishi Yokomizo
Strike etc

I dip into the Bosch and Charles Paris for an easy read, and Paul Temple if I need a laugh.

any suggestions for a nice new book?

The Twist of a Knife -Anthony Horowitz. So far so good & think it will get better.

Loved Janice Hallet. I am deep into the Dr Nell Ward series by Sarah yarwood-Lovett which is pretty good - they're about an ecologist who gets drawn into murders.

Chris Hammer, Aussie noir, might be up the OP's street.

I second Rosalind Lupton. Also the Nicci French series starting with Blue Monday. Do you enjoy Scandi noir?
Ragnar Jonasson, Yrsa Sigurdadottir, Arnaldur Indridason.
I really recommend Danuta Reah if you can find them. Mostly out of print now but all set in and around Sheffield.
William Boyd Ordinary Thunderstorms.
If you like a little supernatural added to it the Phil Rickman Merrily Watkins.
I'm off to look at some of those recommended by pp.
