Books about New Orleans?

I'll be visiting the Big Easy next month and would love to find out more about its history. Can anyone recommend any books - either fiction or non-fiction? I've already read the Anne Rice vampire series.

Haha no books but I’m a big fan of “The Big Easy” film and 90s TV series 😂 (you could turn subtitles on and read at the same time to make it more book like 🙃).

Desiree’s Baby - not New Orleans, but Louisiana

Not a book, but a TV series - Treme

Treme is fantastic. TV series by the writer of The Wire (but v different) and shows all aspects of NO. It’s brill and the music is so good. Don’t miss it!
