Kala by Colin Walsh, can someone tell me the ending please?

I’ve been listening to this on audible, and I was enjoying it, but there have been some unpleasant parts and I don’t want to listen anymore. However, I’d like to know what happens at the end if anyone can tell me! TIA

My memory is poor, and I read it a while ago, but the twins were found with Kalas grandmother in the basement. They were found in the nick of time, and one was in a worse state than the other. Mush ends up in a coma (I think!)
