Kate Grenville - Restless Dolly Maunder

Picked this up from the library not knowing what it was.

I'm half way through and I really love it. I love the story and the writing.

It's been long listed for the Women's Fiction Prize.

Has anyone else read any Kate Grenville they would recommend?

Secret River and The Lieutenant both amazing reads . Very informative about history of Australia. They are both very dark and brutal. Dolly Maunder looks a bit more easy going.

I just read Restless Dolly Maunder and thought it was the weakest of her books. I am actually a bit bemused as to how it made the Women's Prize list.
As previous poster said The secret river and others are much more emotionally challenging read but better for it

@splothersdog that's interesting. I've never read her before but I enjoyed the simplicity in prose and storyline. Will be interesting to see how different her others are.
