Anyone else read this?

I just started reading it today at the hairdressers as they have no signal and couldn't mess around on my phone!

It's conversations with Judi Dench about her thoughts and experiences of playing various Shakespeare roles over the years.

I thought it would be a book to dip in and out of but I'm racing along.

Anyway, now I know what to get my dm for Mother's Day. (Who has been mistaken for JD as similar physique and age 😆)

I know I'm responding to a thread that's nearly a year old but I started reading this today on a train journey. I keep inwardly laughing at bits, trying not to look like the crazy person on the train!

I would recommend to any Shakespeare fans and to Judi Dench fans. It's fab.

Oh I'm glad to see someone replying to this @RumNotRun.

I found lots of it really funny.

The production of The Comedy of Errors is on YouTube so I'm thinking of watching that soon.

The kindle version is on a special offer at 99p which is perfect timing. I was travelling to stay with my dad and thought he would love the book but I wouldn't finish it in time for me to leave it here. Now I can, and I can read the kindle version.

A friend bought me this for my birthday and I'd finished it in a day. Gorgeous GORGEOUS book

This had mixed reviews from anyone I've spoken to.

I enjoyed most of it, did skip a couple of the plays I didn't know. My husband loves Shakespeare and read it really quickly.
