I just started watching New look ( I thjnk it's called ) with Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel and it made me want to read more about the resistance and nazi occupied Paris. Quite niche but anything spring to mind?

Agree with Fair Stood the Wind for France - it’s a compelling read.

Can you google for some French writers?

Have a look at Charlotte Gray by Sebastian Faulks.

Also The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn (starts with the main characters as children but features the war and the Resistance later)

Restless by William Boyd.

And I agree Suite Française is brilliant. And so sad when you learn about the author's own story.

Loads of good recommendations here. There's also The Girl Who Fell From The Sky by Simon Mawer and Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein- both very good.

‘Marianne in Chains’ is a non fiction account of the Loire Valley during the Occupation . I used to live in one of the main towns featured in the book, and elderly residents said it was pretty accurate.
