What else will I love?

i love historical fiction, wartime history, comedy/ dark comedy, colourful characters…

also love Kurt Vonnegut and Joseph heller

any recommendations? I’m desperate for some new fiction to get into!

Louis de Bernieres is my favourite author and I also like Kate Atkinson and Joanne Harris

Thinking of your wartime/historical preference, I think you would enjoy Life After Life and A God in Ruins

Joanne Harris’s Five Quarters of the Orange is set in WW2 occupied France (and flashes forward, as do a few of her books) and has very good quirky characters

Life After Life is really good. I enjoyed Transcription as well.
